The first season of Big Brother premiered on July 5, 2000. Twelve HouseGuests competed for 75 days for a grand prize of $500,000. The show was broadcast three times a week Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Fifth place finisher Todd Pritchett returned as a contestant on Big Brother 4. He entered the house as one of the three intruders and finished in tenth place.
